It really doesn't get much better than this folks. Tom Coburn, R-Ok the junior senator on the judiciary committee was caught on camera doing a crossword puzzle during the Robert's confirmation hearings. Can you believe it? After his waterworks and his plead for unity and how important all this is, he is doing a crossword puzzle. But I am not surprised, Tom doesn't concern himself with the important things and obviously like to play games. I am not a Robert's fan, but he is the best we are gonna get. At the most, he deserved the attention of the Senators. This is the most important job interview the guy has been on and the Senator from OK is trying to figure out a crossword! Oh, well, I honestly don't expect more from this idiot.

A follow up to this:
I called Senator Tom Coburn's office this morning in Washington, D.C. and asked the assistant what crossword he was doing. Was it a Highlights magazine or the NYTimes? She told me that people have called in and said that they "didn't mind" him doing the crossword. Well, I do mind. She also said that it is justified cause "Senator Coburn interviewed Judge Roberts personally in his office". I said, "well, just because he has made up his mind doesn't mean he can not pay attention when someone else is questioning him." She said "he is leaning toward confirmation, but has not decided on whether or not he will vote for Judge Roberts." WHAT? I said "let me get this straight, you are stepping on your tongue ma'am. You are saying it is okay for him to not pay attention during the confirmation hearings cause he interviewed him personally, but that he is waiting until AFTER the hearings to make up his mind? If this is the case, shouldn't he be paying ATTENTION?" She stammered. Yet again, another embarassment from TOM COBURN....
