Bush's "choices"

"Well, I guess you heard, President Bush had a big choice that he had to make, and this week, he finally made up his mind. He's going to be Spider-Man for Halloween" – Bill Maher

Bill on Bush's choice Harriet Miers for Supreme Court:
"Yes, it's almost enough to make you miss the old pre-"honor and integrity" days. Because at least when Clinton talked about tapping the woman down the hall, he was just having sex with her."

Other good choices:
A vet steeped in animal husbandry to be the head of the Woman's Health dept. at the FDA...he has since scurried off...
Michael Brown for FEMA...duh
David Safavian for Cheif Procurement Officer...oh wait, he is under indictment and currently "unemployed"

You've pointed out a few of Bush's poor choices, and the thing about them is that if they fuck-up they will be promoted. However, if any of his appointments do their job right, they will get fired. Gen. Zini, Paul O'Niell, Richard Clark, etc.

What is it about a MBA President?

My dad told me about his friend in Shreveport who is an electrician (union) and was making about 3g a week working in NOLA. He was sent home last week cause they bussed in loads of "those of mexican decent" to do the job much much cheaper. They sent the union guys home and got cheap labor from out of state. How nice.

Did you see Bill Maher's preshow skit?
It was so funny. It was a parody of the BASF commercials.
We don't make the polution, we make the factories that make the polution less responsible.
We don't cause the hurricanes, we make the hurricanes, more deadly.
It was funny.

Bush/Cheney, we don't make a lot of your problems, we make the problems you have worse.

Bill's simply beyond brilliant (and so must his writers be) and his show AND the Daily Show (and history & nat'l geographic channels) are the only reason I used to have DISH. I'm taking time off, but I sure miss Maher :(

Thanks for the gems!! I hope my sister TeeVo'ed it for me...

What's interesting here is that not only are you pissed off that the Government is spending your tax dollars more efficiently by sending home the union whores and hiring people who are willing to work (and no doubt harder) for less pay - but it's also HILARIOUS that you are the person who comments the most on your articles - some of them...you're the ONLY person commenting. Way to go you brain-washed, liberal geek. This site absolutely made my day!

Glad I made your day.
Tell me, TBP, are you always an asshole, or are you on vacation from being a dick?

In your dreams, are tax dollars being spend more efficiently. The contracts being given to Cheney/Halliburton, mean that they will have more profits and will payout less in wages. With the work done in Iraq, Halliburton's profits have doubled, when the hurricane rebuilding gets added in, their profits will triple, and they won't even have to double and triple bill the government. They will move all the profits to their off-shore divisions and NOT pay any taxes like American companies do.

If you want to cheer this GOP rip-off that financed Bush's election, then go ahead and be a sucker.
