Earth Day 2006



Would someone please tell our President that Global Warming IS real and that although it does need more study, it also needs more action. Thanks to this administration turning back clean air standards and enviromental regulations in order to please the polluting corporations such as gas companies and energy companies, our air is filthier, our water is undrinkable in some cases and our wildlife is suffering.

100% Increase in intensity and durationof hurricanes and tropical storms since the 1970's, according to a 2005 MIT study.

2030 Year by which Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left, according to the U.S. Geological Survey predictions.

400,000 Square miles of Arctic sea ice that have melted in the last 30 years (roughly the size of Texas)

15%- 37% Amount of plant and animal species that global warming could wipe out by 2050.

And this year is supposed to surpass last year in heat & hurricanes. Whoopee. What we have to look for......
On another note, your "Veep Sleep" heading reminded me of Opera Man on SNL...lol.

The Kyoto accord now has some mavericks that want to start their own effort to attack global warming..this shouldn't be so damn hard. We all breathe the same air..we all pollute, we all are dying..teamwork on this issue shouldn't be a problem..
